Mama and her babies.
Hello, glad to see you here. I hope you stay a while and enjoy what I am doing. I am a quilter, but I also blog about my life and where I live at the moment.
It is always my birthday
And I like a lot. My friends know this and let me be. Great friends.

Sunday Picture
Since it has been raining again for two days now and nor end in sight, I am longing for warmth and sun. This was on the wall at a shop in sunny Crete two years ago.

Haleigh's Pillow
Haleigh finished her pillow about two weeks ago.
She picked the center out of my stash, and than found the blue/white polka dot fabric to go with it.
I think she did a wonderful job, and she did it all by herself.
The inner pillow is made with batting pieces that Opa helped tear up so Haleigh could use them as stuffing.

Sunday Pictures
I had a busy Sunday, since the weather was nice I decided to spray paint and seal my new yard art and wooden box for the patio set cushions.
I also gave my swing a new coat of sealer, so now I am ready for the outdoor season. The flower containers are old propane gas tanks cut apart by a friend of mine, he also made the wooden box for me.
The butterfly's are made by my friend also.

My birthday present to myself
For my birthday last month I treated myself to a tuffet class. I have always wanted to do one for my living room, and when I heard about the class I signed up for it as my birthday present to myself.
This is the one I made, to match my couch quilt. The pattern is by Myra Mitchell. It took a lot of prep work and a 6 hour class, but I love my new tuffet. I even put some decorative stitching on the fabric.
The legs I had from a wooden chest we bought in the Azores that I never used for the chest.
Here is her link :
for a free pattern for the square tuffet.
This one was made by another gal named Tina, I love the greens and browns.

Sunday Picture
Poppies are my favorite flower. From the huge red one like this ( the flower is dessert plate size ) to the small wild ones in the fields back in Germany, or the orange wild ones that grow from Alaska all the way to California and pretty sure beyond. I even bought a Poppy plant, just so the slugs could have a feast. I re potted the lonely stem with no leaves in hopes it will grow back.
And sorry, but I realized today was not Sunday.
