EE. Schenck is a wholesale business in Portland , Oregon about 2 hours away from here. So my friend Jeri and I did a road trip there yesterday. You have to be a business with Tax ID number to shop there, and security is almost as good as the US Army. You sign in, the give you a batch and than they let you in a secured door with security number pad.
This is what the place looks like, a quilters dream. Yes, the shelves hold bolts of fabrics, you have to purchase the whole bolt, and they are scrumptious.
The notions, everything you can think of, and than some.
This is what I bought. Some more threads, patterns, two books, some gifts for my potential customers, a roll of batting, and my first two bolts of fabric, a back ground cream and a lovely blue batik, all MINE!
And if that wasn't enough overload, we went to Fabric Depot ( only about 7000 bolts of fabric )
lots of notios, and since a great sale was going on I bought some more stuff.
Flanell for a baby quilt, batting ( just love this Dream Orient batting) and a zipper pull for Lucas, my grand son.
